Boston's Chef & Dietitian !

Welcome! My name is Dan Camerota. I am a Registered Dietitian and Personal Chef living and cooking my way around the beautiful and historic city of Boston, Massachusetts.

At 14 years old, I started cooking by the sides of my mother, father and late great-grandmother. Learning the basics of open fire cooking and the best pizza dough this side of Sicily, I was engrained with a love and passion for food and family and knew this was the career I was destined for. This love of food brought me to the prestigious Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Nutrition. Sensing a shift in the Culinary industry, I pursued my nutrition education further by completing a Dietetic Internship at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and successfully passing the Registered Dietitian exam. Registered Dietitians go through over 1200 hours specialized education and training in all aspects of foodservice, clinical and community based nutrition programs. RD’s are considered to be America’s experts on food and nutrition.

I have worked in acclaimed restaurants in Providence, New York City, the Berkshires, Cape Cod and Boston. Outside of high end kitchens I have put my expertise to use as a counseling dietitian in a health club and as a licensed clinical dietitian in a Massachusetts hospital.

Currently, I specialize in private dinner parties, weekly personal chef services, athletic performance nutrition, catering and consulting on a range of topics. In addition to working with private families, business executives, and active adults, I also work with professional athletes and several Boston charities.

Welcome to my website! Please look around and see some of the work I have been involved with. Check back often as the site is new and growing!
